We strive to create a transparent process with our clients to navigate any adjustments made throughout the project. Our client-centered process crafts tailored designs specific to you and your lifestyle through natural, timeless elements in a modern way.

PHASE 1: Conceptual Design Phase Services
• Assess the current Project space, take measurements and photos, and document any items that will be staying.
• Design the ideal floor plan to ensure the best possible layout for the Project.
• Create inspiration board(s) to communicate what JODEE HARRIS DESIGN envisions for the Project.
• Determine initial selections to confirm the design direction.
• Create an Investment Estimate to capture the elements that will be needed to make the Project a reality, from furnishings to trades.
• Conduct “Trade Day” at CLIENT’s home. This is where JODEE HARRIS DESIGN consults with its trades and vendors on site to review the Project concepts and take detailed measurements in order to receive accurate quotes. (It is imperative to be on site with the vendors to discuss obstacles and options at the outset).
The above Conceptual Design Services will culminate in JODEE HARRIS DESIGN presenting the following deliverables to the CLIENT:
• Floor plan(s)
• Inspiration board(s)
• Limited Initial selections
• Investment to be approved
PHASE 2: Detailed Design Phase Services
• Select each item according to design direction, Exhibit B Investment, and floor plan(s).
• Procure written quotes from all trades and vendors.
• Complete selections in accordance with approved inspiration boards and initial selections.
• Finalize the approved floor plan(s) with actual selections.
• Draw relevant elevations of the space.
• Complete any custom piece drawings as needed.
• Presentation preparation to communicate the design.
PHASE 3: Purchasing and Execution Phase:
Placing Orders & Assessing Delivery Times
• Complete the purchasing of goods on your behalf
• Clarify and communicate estimated delivery times
• Manage open orders by efficiently tracking goods
• Prepare the Construction & Installation timeline
Construction
• Work in Conjunction with the General Contractor to oversee the construction and installation timeline
• Coordinate project logistics with trades and vendors
• Regular, weekly site meetings with all relevant parties - trades, JODEE HARRIS DESIGN, architect (when necessary), and the CLIENT (as available) - to ensure that the project is moving forward in a timely manner and is being executed according to the design
• Capture and communicate all questions and concerns to homeowner
• Provide additional drawings, samples and meetings as needed to move construction project forward
• There are a few things that we require of our trades. I hope you feel that they would also benefit your project:
• Our insurance carrier requires us to have a trade agreement with anyone executing our design, where they provide their insurance, workman's comp and license information unless otherwise already handled by General Contractor.
• In the mentioned trade agreement, we outline project guidelines, such as site safety, timelines and communication expectations
Installation
• Coordinate deliveries and installations
• On site presence during deliveries and installations, where applicable
Furniture Installation and Styling
• Provide turnkey furniture installation, which means that all of the furnishings are delivered at one time, once construction is complete (as much as possible)
• Plan and execute the styling process
• Style and photograph the completed project, where applicable
The Reveal
• Provide documentation that supports the care and maintenance of your newly completed project
• Identify any deficiencies that we've noted during installation in the format of a project punch list
• Present the Styling Price List for each item installed, where applicable
• Photograph job, where applicable
• Confirm what you want to keep or return from the Styling Price List, where applicable
• Pick up and return any items identified to be returned, where applicable
Identify & Resolve Deficiencies
• Identify and resolve all deficiencies identified on the project punch list
